Q: Is the cost per passenger?
A: The price is per boat, no worries! Most of our boats will hold up to 10 passengers without the captain so not only do you get to share the fun, but you can share the cost as well.

 

Q: How much is the Security Deposit to drive the boat?
A: $500, but we will not charge the card unless you damage the boat.

 

Q:  How much does a Captain charge?
A: Captain’s Fee is an additional $150 for half a day.  $250 for the full day. You must sign a contract & pay fee directly to the Captain.

 

Q: What other fees do I need to pay aside from Rental Fee & Captain’s Fee?
A: Fuel: We will determine the total consumption when your return the boat & charge you total gallons per hour used as per boat description. Price per gallon will vary as per market value. You may also have the option to re-fuel yourself during your own time.

Tax: A 7% Florida tax is added to Rental Fee and to Fuel Cost.

 

Q:  Can I Fuel the boat on my own ?
A: Yes, but be kind to our boat and the environment.  It must be “Ethanol FREE Marine Fuel”, otherwise you’ll be responsible for any damages to our engines if filled with regular fuel.

 

Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located at 1975 Calais Drive, Miami FL 33141… but don’t worry, we’ll swing by to “boat you up”!

 

Q: What should I bring?
A: Government issued ID with birth date clearly visible, a credit card for guarantee, and cash for gratuity (if you want a captain);  smiles, bathing suits, towels and sunscreens are always recommended.  

 

Q: Does a school ID count?
A: No…sorry!

 

Q: Can I bring food & drinks aboard?
A: We provide a cooler with ice on-board to store you drinks and snacks. Any beverages and food are your responsibility, so a trip to the grocery store may be required… If you bring alcoholic drinks, the designator driver is prohibited from drinking as he/she will be responsible for everyone on board the boat. Otherwise, you may hire a USCG Licensed Captain.

 

Q:  Can I bring my dog?
A: Yes, we like dogs, even though ours does not like going on the boat.

 

Q: Where to lock items?
A: Our boats have plenty of storage underneath the seats. 

 

Q: What if I don’t know how to swim?
A: You are not required to know how to swim. We’ll provide proper life jackets prior to boarding the boat should if you need one. We don’t want anyone to drown, so there are always lifejackets onboard for anyone who may need them (except for the dog)!

 

Q: Do I need to know how to drive a Boat or have a Boaters License ?
A: We do not required a boaters license, but you will need to showyour “driving” boating skills during a 15min hands-on orientation.   Be safe… always or hirea USCG Licensed Captain!

 

Q: What do I need to drive the boat?
A: If you are born after 01/01/1988, you are out of luck and will be required to have a NASBLA approved boater safety license in your possession along with a government issued ID. You can go online at http://www.boatus.org/florida/ and do the course for FREE. Good luck!

 

Q: How old do I have to be to drive?
A: Unless the parent is present to sign the required liability waivers you must be 18 years of age. If the parent is present, anyone 16 years of age or older should be fine to drive as long as they have proper government issued ID with date-of-birth.

 

Q:  What will a Captain do aside from driving the boat?
A: Captain’s work as a “private chauffer”, if you have plan your trip the Captain will follow it. If not, the Captain will suggest an itinerary according to your schedule time frame.

 

Q: Can I take a boat out on the Ocean?
A: Only by hiring one of the USCG Licensed Captain’s available for hire.

 

Q: What do I need to go fishing?
A: The state of Florida requires children over 16 years of age and seniors under the age of 65 years of age A RECREATIONAL FISHING PERMIT. You may obtain a fishing permit online by going to  https://license.myfwc.com

 

Q: Where can I go with the boat?
A: NORTH up to Haulover Sandbar & SOUTH 1/4 mile before the Florida Cape Light House in Key Biscayne Park.

If you rent a boat without a captain, you must keep the boat in the Miami Biscayne Bay (Intracoastal). If the boat is taken out of the approved zone and anything happens (regardless of fault) you will have to pay to bring the boat back to Miami. You are not allowed to take the boat on the Ocean on your own, No Exceptions! 

If you hire a captain you can go almost anywhere, even Cuba now!

 

Q: Can I take the boat to Elliot Key.
A: Elliot Key is outside of Miami so the same rules apply as above.

 

Q: How latecan I bring the boat back?
A: See our packages for reference… 8PM if you selected the Sunset tour.

 

Q: Can I take a boat out at night?
A: Only by hiring a USCG Licensed Captain.
